Frog Life cycle
Have you ever wonder how the frog life cycle runs and how the lay they eggs and how they grow?

Firstly While in the amplexus(The position of a mating progress of a frog or a toad) position the male frog fertilizes the eggs well they are getting laid. Frogs tend to lay eggs single eggs in masses whereas toads usually lay eggs in long chains. Some frogs leave after this point, but others stick around to watch over the little ones. Some have very unusual ways of caring for their young. You'll learn about some of those later in this tour.

Secondly  frogs and toads lay heaps of eggs because there are many hazards between fertilization and full grown frogness Those eggs that die tend to turn white or opaque. The lucky ones that actually manage to hatch still start out on a journey of many perils. Life starts right as the central yolk splits in two. It then divides into four, then eight and until it looks a bit like a raspberry inside a jello cup. Soon, the embryo starts to look more and more like a tadpole, getting longer and moving about in it's egg.

Finally between 12 to 16 weeks and depending on water and food supply the frog has completed the full growth cycle. Some frogs that live in higher altitudes or in colder places might take a whole winter to go through the tadpole stage others may have unique development stages that vary from your traditional tadpole in the water type life cycle some of these are described later in this tour.

So this is the life cycle of a frog and how they grow.I have told you how about how the frog grows as in the the female laying the eggs to it being fully grown at the adult size.

Opening statement:
The shortfin eel is smaller than the longfin eel.The scientific name for eel is Anguilliformes. In maori they are referred to as the Tuna. The number of longfin and shortfin eels are decreasing because of commercial fishing practices and rivers drying up.

Eel are small they have very smooth head’s but as they grow their head’s grow bulbous (fat or round) with a muscular dome behind the eye’s.They also change shape when they get ready to move to their new breeding grounds.they also have eyes that are bullet like.

When the eel reach their destination The female eel lays millions of eggs that are fertilized by the male eel.The larvae are called A leptocephalus and look nothing like an eel their a transparent flat leaf shaped. Then longfin eel breed only once at the end of their life. Then when they are ready to breed they leave new zealand to the subtropical pacific ocean. To Spawn in the very deep ocean trenches.File:Electric-eel.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

Small longfin eels are living in the river gravels will feed on insect larvae worms and water snails. When they get bigger they begin to feed on fish. They will also eat freshwater crayfish and even small birds like ducklings.Eels also eat their food well they are still alive.

General statement:
The longfin eels can live up two 25 to 80 years old and the shortfin lives up to 15 to 18 years old. Also most people don't eat the longfin because they have toxic inside of them.there is a big loss in the long because of the wetlands. The mother eel also dies after they lay their eggs and somehow the baby eel gets back to the some river from where their mother was.

We should have Rubbish Bins
I extremely believe  we should get rubbish bins back at kawakawa primary school because kids are going back home with messy bags and our school is getting more rubbish on the ground.

Firstly i think we should get our rubbish bins back art kawakawa primary school because parents have been camplanon that there child bags are coming back messy and with too much rubbish in their bags and coming back with there bags all sticky.

Secondly i think we should have our rubbish bins back because there is more rubbish on the ground then when we had rubbish bins and there are rubbish in the toilets rubbish in holes and also in other people's bags.

Finally we should get our bins back or parents might come and complain and then it will go on our school record and then we will get less students our schools student numbers have dropped a whole lot.

This is my Ruapekapeka poster to learn about our culture and what they did back then
